Your first Papinha

That time has came

Where so much has changed and so little has gone

Where everyone has something to say and some sort of advice to give…

Every little day there is a discovery

And slowly you are developing…

Finding your hands and feet,

Lifting your head

Following and responding to sounds

Babbling and recognising people

Turning back and forth…

Crawling!

To starting solids

Your first Papinha

And this is a huge step, where you are discovering more and more

And mummy and daddy are enjoying every bit of it

Whereas everyone has different opinions with when starting the first foods

Everyone cares about their kids and their diets

As I care about mine!

We will keep you posted of Bubba's great adventures with the first solids x

Interesting!!

Signs of readiness: Baby sits, has great head control, has doubled his weight since birth, great appetite, lost tongue-thrust reflux, is interested in food.

I STARTED WITH: baby cereal, fruit (pear, apple and avocado) and then going to sweet potato, turnip and broccoli (one vegetable of each specie) with the portions at the size of a babies hand.

REMEMBER:No one should feel pressured about giving solids earlier or later, I believe every child shows signs of being ready when the right time comes.

Some babies are ready before the stipulated time and others after, so what Tom, Dick and Harry did not necessarily works for you sometimes.

I suggest to always check with your Health visitor, my baby was advised to start earlier!
