Skin Brightening Pineapple Face Mask

Face masks make the perfect addition to any skincare routine, rehydrating tired, dull, grumpy skin. They dive deeper into your pores, drawing out impurities and dirt from below the surface, targeting spot inducing bacteria, leaving you a beautiful glow. This month, we've raided the fridge for powerful ingredients to leave your skin looking supple. Pineapple is the perfect ingredient for a glowing complexion. It contains Bromelain, an enzyme known to brighten your complexion while exfoliating your skin and clearing dead skin cells.


The inclusion of greek yoghurt refines your pores, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. Honey contains antibacterial properties to prevent breakouts by eliminating dirt and oil left by makeup. The good fat in the coconut flour acts as a natural toner, absorbing moisture, giving you a youthful radiance.


Ingredients


Two tablespoons of Greek yoghurt

Two tablespoons of honey

Two tablespoons of *coconut flour


Pineapple Puree

Blend 5 x one-inch cubes of fresh pineapple


(*For dry skin, replace the coconut flour with oat flour. Not recommended for sensitive skin)


Wash your face thoroughly, using a cleanser and toner to remove the dirt. Mix the pineapple puree in a bowl with the remaining ingredients. Apply a thick layer to clean skin, avoiding the sensitive eye and mouth area. Leave to sit for 3-5 minutes. Rinse the mask with warm water. Gently pat your skin dry.
