How are we suppose to know how to love ourselves?
If as growing up
no one told us how...
Not even the importance of self Love
and I mean
the real Love,
That unconditional and healthy love that we must have for ourselves
that puts ourselves as a priority
and cares about Me before caring about You...
That self love that will not allow anything less than we deserve
That self love where we
Honour our needs, thought, emotions and what we do!
As girls we were told
A girl don't play like this,
she doesn't sit like that
you need to clean a house properly and cook and be a good wife...
Didn't they know when you love yourself
you treat yourself and others with honour?
Didn't they know that before we are ready to serve others
we must be able to serve and know ourselves deeply?
Didn't they know... ?
and so we continue serving others, suffering and hurting
pointing fingers and blaming others
when all we should do is look within ourselves
and understand...
how were we meant to know?
Most times we think we wont be able to
Or that isn't worth it
Maybe we don't believe in ourselves enough or we paying too much attention to what others say.
We stop searching for who we truly are and want
Because others dictate what we should do...
& Both consciously and unconsciously we are accepting that
and so we create a We instead of a Me
we take care of a You instead of a Me
And all it takes is to get rid of that fear and
dig deeper...
Lets start a journey for Self Love!
